"Arctic Ocean Getting Warm; Seals Vanish and Icebergs Melt."--Washington Post, Nov. 2, 1922

John Lockwood, upon discovering numerous such newspaper headlines in the 1920's and 30's, which turn out to have encompassed the ten hottest years in modern times.

Don't think you'll see this in Al Gore's next fancy slide show on global warming.

Scaremongering has a long time-honored pedigree in journalism. We have put global warming on hold for a bit while we anguish over sub-prime lending for a few weeks.

Lest we worry needlessly, I heard recently that President Bush has a plan to deal with GW. He says that if we need to, we can lower the temperature dramatically just by switching from Fahrenheit to Celsius

So are you saying they lied about this in 1922? It didn't get warm and seals vanished?

And are you saying the millions of tons of toxic gunk we disperse in our atomsphere is actually good for God's creation?
