Tropical animals are dropping like iguanas from trees
Wait. Sorry. Change that.
Animals that thrive on warmer temperatures are suffering severe consequences from colder weather and their lives are threatened from low temperatures that haven't been seen since 1989. In fact, arctic foxes aren't keeling over panting: iguanas are falling from trees stone dead.
But somehow it's got something to do with Global Warming. It just has to.

ReplyDelete"Fire crews are on high alert as another heatwave hits South Australia.
Temperatures reached almost 41 degrees in Adelaide on Friday and are expected to hit 43 over the weekend and on Monday, before a cool change on Tuesday, the Bureau of Meteorology has warned.
Temperatures in Ceduna and across the Nullarbor climbed to 43 degrees on Friday.
Country Fire Service chief officer Euan Ferguson said fire crews were on high alert and he urged all South Australians in fire risk areas to activate their bushfire survival and prevention plans.
"Given the warmer weather, Country Fire Service volunteers are at a higher level of preparedness and we're asking the public to do the same," he said.
The CFS has declared total fire bans and a fire danger rating of severe for Mount Lofty Ranges, Mid North, Flinders, Eastern Eyre Peninsula, and the West Coast, which has an extreme fire danger rating."
Yup, sure is a cool 'un down under.
The rise in temps in Australia must be due to all that anthropogenic global warming going on in Australia. Amazing how much of Europe, North America, and Asia have cut back on anthropogenic global warming. Must be because Obama is President. lol
ReplyDeleteThat's right, Art. Australia has never been hot. That's why the original Australians are so dark skinned.

ReplyDeleteNot this hot.
Kudos on finding somewhere on earth that it's warmer than it usually is, but I have a question. How long have we had an accuate way of recording global temperatures? You said that it had never been this hot in Australia. How do you know? g
