Zoophobia in Germany

Last week, Germany banned bestiality (after legalizing it in 1969) because it is cruel to animals. As Eugene Kontorovich points out, this is clearly an example of the government is staying out of people's bedrooms--and getting into their barnyards. This is clearly a case, he points out, of zoophobia.

I am expecting Europeans to start wearing beanie hats any time now as a sartorial expression of their moral seriousness.

You gotta love liberals

My apologies, Martin. Seems like you and all the other anti-gay-marriage folks were right all along. Thanks for alerting us to this a prime illustration of that slippery slope in action: once you legalize gay civil unions, as is the case in that hedonistic cesspool of Germany, there will be pandemonium in the streets, the governments will start legalizing incest and bestiality and...hang on...

    Nevermind.

So that's why German Marlboro packs have pictures of Alsations and Alpo is a huge seller on Valentine's Day.

Failure to comply with these rules can result (depending solely on the arbitrary and inscrutable will of the host) in the deletion of offending posts and suspension of posting privileges. Such measures are more likely if you post anonymously.
