Rush Limbaugh criticizes Jesus for being a Marxist ... er, wait a second
On his radio show, Rush Limbaugh responded, "This is just pure Marxism coming out of the mouth of the Savior of the world." He criticized Jesus' understanding of economics and added, "If it weren't for capitalism, I don't know where Christianity would be."
Limbaugh went on to ....
Um, wait. Let me check this again. Hmmm. I, ... er, think maybe I've got a couple things wrong here.
It wasn't actually Jesus Limbaugh was criticizing. It was actually the Pope he was taking to task ... for saying pretty much the same thing.
Never mind.

You are welcome to post at this blog. You are asked, however, to refrain from the following:
1. Name-calling;
2. Questioning the motives or integrity of people you have never met just because you disagree with them;
3. Using obscenities or other expressions not appropriate or necessary to civilized discussion;
4. Taking disagreement personally;
5. Demeaning or insulting remarks.
The host will attempt to abide by the same rules and only asks that you not provide him with the temptation to do so in return by violating them.
Failure to comply with these rules can result (depending solely on the arbitrary and inscrutable will of the host) in the deletion of offending posts and suspension of posting privileges. Such measures are more likely if you post anonymously.
Socialism would be fine if it were being run by people like Jesus. It helps to be omniscient, compassionate, and with an inerrant sense of justice and need.

In the meantime, we have to deal with man in his present state. The epitaphs of Lenin, Stalin, Hitler, Mussolini, Mao, Pol Pot, various Kims, etc. should read, look what happens when we place our faith in man.
P.S. I don't think the Church does understand economics. But looking for light under Limbaugh's lamp probably won't prove that.
